One positive that has come out of the recession is the discovery by many businesses that the systems and documents they have in and around their business are inadequate when times get tough.  That may not sound like a positive but some of these businesses have taken the opportunity to put in place more robust systems going forward.

Many businesses are finding themselves without essential legal documents such as terms of trade or employment agreements for their business.  These documents are crucial as they outline businesses' rights and obligations when dealing with day-to-day matters.  Some have discovered to their horror that when things turn to "custard" a lack of appropriate legal documents has resulted in increased costs, difficulties and stress.

In law as in medicine, prevention is most definitely better than the cure so we have designed an accessible user friendly Business and Employment Health Check tailored specifically to the needs of, and issues facing, our local businesses.  The Business Health Check examines every key area of commercial operations from employment relationships and credit control to compliance and funding. 

We will provide an hour long personalised private and confidential health and employment check which is completely free.  From the health check we will identify any potential problems and advise what needs to be done to cure it.  The client then has the benefit of making an informed choice on what they should do.  If their business gets a clean bill of health, the client will walk away with that liberating feeling known as peace of mind.

Our staff are mindful that many businesses are busy during normal office hours so we have ensured the health checks are extra convenient and accessible by setting up an "after hours surgery" outside of the normal hours of 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
